Happy Mother's Day!

I managed to speak to mom this morning and was talking to her about all things happening here in my life and i miss home very much particularly my mom coz we spend a great deal of time with each other during when i was back home and out of work and i especially like chating when we had dinner together. Anyhow, Mon Coeur bought these flowers for me today to cheer me up and so i said well lets just make these flowers as presents to both our moms and so it be. So mom, from both of us here happy Mother's Day 2008! And to all my other aunts and cousins and friends whom are moms too...

Dinner for Two :)

i can never do a good soup and it happens to be my favourite food for dinner its not only filling but also healthy. Usually mon coeur will prepare this and i just watch and observe for its facinating how its been done and surely the end results is surely yummiest too. This particular soup, mon coeur cut up some pumpkin, potatoes , brocolli and some carrots and place them in a large bowl pour some water and off they go in the microwave. Then after several minutes all the veges are soft and mushy he then use the food processor to make pureee of the the whole vege mix; After that he adds some creame cheese and process the food again until it looks really really creamy and soft and then finally season it with pepper and salt and finally the finished product!

Orchid Garden, Kuala Lumpur

Last saturday after going to Alliance ffrancais at jalan Gurney we headed home coz had plenty much things to do at home and so we busily doing work from home and suddenly at around 4pm we decided to go check out The Orchid Garden at Taman Tasik Perdana; ane below are the pics taken during that day :)

The Location

The Entrance. Mon Coure was looking at the routes that is available for the drop of zones for visitors that came by bus so Mom this is going to be one of ur visit destination when you come and visit me here coz i am very sure you will like it here :)

This is my favourite orchid and so we bought this orchid for our condo :)

love the beautiful orchid display so rich with colours and very well maintained too.

The lanscaping also proves to be very delightful and pleasant to the eyes. helps to distress our mind a lot going to places like this the tranquility speaks for itself when you breathe the sense of these orchid flowers around you.....a very relaxing place to be for sure.

this is also one of the nice ones they have there and plenty of vibrant colours to cheer you up!

there were so many of them beautiful and colourful orchids so i made a collage for all of you to see the collection.

and finally happy me and mon coeur as we get to go out and smelll the flowers and in this case its smelling the orchids :)

No Class but I was hungry....

So i was all excited to go to my class today and was told it's not until tomorrow....so i was suddenly left with a time gap of nothing-ness so thought i'd do someting creative so i tried my own smoked salmon in dil Pizza;

so here is the Smoked Salmon in Dill Pizza :)

ingredients :
Pizza Dough = multipurpose flour+instant yeast+a pinch of salt+ 1 tbs of granulated sugar + 3/4 of warm water
mixed all to form a dough and set aside

Base for the pizza = 1 big round tomato + 2 green onions + 2 garlic clove + fresh ground pepper
put all in a food processor and grind away to form a paste
Use this paste to coat the base of your pizza;

flatten your dough and make whatever shape you like then apply the paste you just made and sprinkled grated cheddar or mozzarella cheese which ever you like and put in the oven for at least 12 minutes

then take out from the oven, then arranged the bite sized smoked salmon in dill over the pizza then arrange the veges and pineapple strips then springkled some cheese on top of it and some ground peeper for some flavour an taste and finally pop it back into the oven for another 5 to 7 minutes then your pizza is ready to be served :)

So I'm back to school :)

At least for a couple of months :) it's all good really and my classes are bit crazy for the time being but i managed. As i have mon coeur to help me get where i need to go for now but today is a challenge for me for my evening classes as i have to go on my own! Jeng! Jeng! Jeng! i have to go to AF at Jalan Gurney instead of the Help University Campus they have in Bandar Damansara. My aunt was telling me good luck in reaching your destination in one piece AND on time as the time i'm to leave my place is during the peak time of jam going on in KL. Im going to take the taxi, and my aunt laughs again coz she said good luck getting into one during peak hours......erggggghhhh s what time then?? so i decided to go at 4PM and see how it goes....wish me some goody luck peeps :)

here is the course i'm going to be attending tonight for i am already 1 month late to all classes available....so got to do some big time catching up!

City Life....where everything is mobile.....even for BREAD!

First we saw this.....

Then i saw this...i was thinking...this would definately be one of the mode of transport im gonna have to use since me "No-Good-Driver" syndrom is not curable i should think...so im making friends with the public transport here then hehehe

oh gosh i was smilling when i think of people stealling his bread off his back coz it does look a bit crowded and overly packed and i can imagine someone stealling it from behind him and he cant even do anything about it....i think its no wonder he was moving like superman speed coz to avoid people grabbing hold of his bread i think hehehe :D and certainly i wouldnt want to buy the bread he is selling on the bottom of his bread haul...imagine eating smoked salmon and in this cqse eating smoked bread !!! hehehe

A taste of spicy Vietnam :)

Last friday Mon Coeur wanted to treat me to a French Restaurant but unfortunately its closed and yet again. I'm thinking that they may have "gulung-tikar" But anyways, it was a bit late around 9.30pm already and most restaurants in Bangsar is starting to close. So we went by the Moroccan Restaurant that we had dinner at about 2 months back and was a fantastic spread of moroccan food indeed. Then Mon Couer said lets have some asian food so we did and went to the vietnam food restaurant called "CHUNGDIHN VIETNAM RESTAURANT" at One Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur.

Was a cozy restaurant but something about the waiter that i really really dont like :( its bad enough that we cant hardly understand what he was trying to say for his english is gosh just simply really hard to understand. Then came the food....well told him i want all my food to not have chillie and the moment i put one in my mouth it was really super dupper hot! enough said i didnt enjoy my food much afterwards coz my tongue was massacred by the hot chillie present in my food saddddd :(


If i could taste better im sure the food would have tasted lovely and i mush say the chillian red wine was alright too. One plus for that restURnt at least.

So all in all in a not so ok kinda meal the only good thing is the wine was nice thats all i can say!

Visiting Batu Caves.....

1st of May what more to do then go out and smell the roses :) Which in our case, mon coeur & myself decided to head to Batu Caves and since it was my first time i was indeed overly excited :) So to go to Batu Caves from where we are located was not that far at all since its still on Ipoh Road so which means its just about 20 to 25 minutes away. The wikepedia map above shows where Batu Caves is actually located.

The first sign that tells us that we are at the right path is this picture here....i was telling myself if there is some limestone caves then this must be the place.

Then we saw this statues :)

Before we entered the place, Mon Coeur suddenly remembers that he's got a friend that he knew about 10 to 12 years ago whom he met in France and in Malaysia. So we went snooping around for his friend which we thought is impossible to still be there after all this while but we ask around and we askzd for "chris" but when actually later i found out that his name was actually "Krishnan " So we had the shock of our life when in fact Krish is now the sole owner of "Cave Villa" in Batu Caves and quite an intreprise person :)

And what temple do not have their special ornaments particularly the infamous snakes. mind you one of these snakes are one of the culprit that done nearly murdered me _ years ago i think it was.... but no worries... i have made my PEACE with them ;)


We also have the opportunity to view some Indian Cutural dance performance which i also like as its so vibrant and colourful. The tentalising sounds of their cultural music beats just tentalised our ears and feasting our eyes tot he delightful dances by Sita Dewi

the place also have a few collection of birds particularly colourful parrots, then ducks ane monkeys :)

It was a wonderful and eventful day for both of us at Btu Caves particularly for mon coeur and his friend Krish for it gives them the opportunity to rekindle back their friendship that was always there and a great experience for me for i have always wanted to go to Batu Caves since i've only read about it on books so i have one of my dreams realised now :) I'm a happy girl indeed :)

Chicky Egg this one is for you :)

Those are the claypots that mon Coeur bought at the Japanese Supermarket in KK the other day. it as really cheap too just RM5.99 a piece :)

Here is the Claypot chicken rice with shitake mushroom and shreded stir fry beef and soy sauced chicken :)

Before i left the othr day i have been interviewing chicky egg on how to do the claypot chicken rice and now finally i got the time to do it so here is the final product! Thanks so much Chicky-Egg!!
