I Hope you Dance...

This post is dedicated to my cousin Dewi & Hannie and also my nieces namely, Ms J & Ms A & Ms S Who happens to love dancing and are having the time of their life dancing away and doing what they like most doing :) And im very proud of all of you!! So this song by Lee Ann Womack - I hope you dance is dedicated to all of you!

Love Always
Cousin/Auntie C

I Hope You Dance - Lee Ann Womack

I hope you never lose your sense of wonder,
You get your fill to eat but always keep that hunger,
May you never take one single breath for granted,
God forbid love ever leave you empty handed,
I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean,
Whenever one door closes I hope one more opens,
Promise me that you'll give faith a fighting chance,
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance.

I hope you dance....I hope you dance..........

I hope you never fear those mountains in the distance,
Never settle for the path of least resistance,
Livin' like me, takin' chances, but they're worth takin',
Lovin' might be a mistake, but it's worth makin',
Don't let some Hell bent heart leave you bitter,
If you come close to sellin' out reconsider,
Give the heavens above more than just a passing glance,
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance.

I hope you dance....I hope you dance.
I hope you dance....I hope you dance.
(Time is a wheel in constant motion always rolling us along,
Tell me who wants to look back on their years
and wonder where those years have gone.)

I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean,
Whenever one door closes I hope one more opens,
Promise me that you'll give faith a fighting chance,
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance.

Dance....I hope you dance.
I hope you dance....I hope you dance.
I hope you dance....I hope you dance..
(Time is a wheel in constant motion always rolling us along,
Tell me who wants to look back on their years
and wonder where those years have gone.)

Instant Noodles...Yummmmmmy!!!

Was on the phone with my aunt this morning and she asked me what i,m going to have for lunch and i told her just gonna have a simple Instant Noodle and i get a shrieking yucks from her and she went on telling me that its not good to eat instant noodled and stuffs. Ah well, i guess it depends how you prepare the food really and how much of the seasoning from the packet you actually use. So if you add some healthy ingredients to it and do not use the seasoning provided or just use some of it will definately make the simple dish more appetizing and healthy;

So to prove her my point here is my vegetarian Instant noodle Dish courtesy of Cintan Noodles :)

The Ingredients:-
1. Dries anchovies and shrimps
2. cabbage
3. carrot
4.Capsicums
5. Red Onion
6. and of course....Cintan Instant Noodles - Perisa Sayuran

Voilà! Instant noodles special! hehehe

thats the cintan noodles perisa sayuran i was telling you about :)

Yummyyyyyy!

Jangan jeles ya ;)

Sure He - BOH!

We search high and low for this thing called BOH Tea for we are gonna bring this simple delight back with us to france and hand it to someone who really, really, really know her tea well and appreciates it :) So the search begun a week before when we went to Carrefoure @Megamall but nope they dont have the stock for loose tea as BOH Tea from cameron highlands apparently now is in new pakaging style and so most probably they dont sell them loose anymore. Anyhow last sunday we went about wt our normal weekly groceries shopping and went to Bangsar green Grocer and look for them Loose Teh Boh still no way to be found SO, i told mon coeur, let's go to TMC aka Teng Market Centre or something sounds like it.. its an alternative shopping place for your daily groceries and this place is less expensive compared to the green grocer in Bangsar Village,....then suddenly, loomed before our eyes...the awaited Teh Boh for someone longing for it in france :)

I know someone will be very happy for this simple token :)

And.....that someone is.......

ALINE

before going to TMC and Bangsar Pasar Malam :)

here is the tasty TEH BOH!

Mon coeur stacked them this way just to show how many of them packets we are going to take with us to france :)
je connais quelqu'un qui va crier en regardant ce tas de Boh the!!!!!!!

another view another angle :)

assez pour tenir jusqu'à Noël!!!! pas sur!! he hehe

Now i know!

The other day mon coeur and my self had a conversation regarding drinking wine as part of our daily or rather part of our lifestyle and how far it was true when it comes to drinking wine, and adding vinegar to some of our meals and eat tonnes of fruits and now i know why! They are not just beneficial for a healthy diet but also helps maintain a healthy and well balanced food diet. I was curious about this particular subject as i'm very much new to this way of eating and so i find out...and here are the results of my findings about having these " things in our food intake :-

1. Wine 2. Vinegar 3. Fruits

Help your metabolism—and get healthier—one...two...three.

By Amy Paturel EatingWell May/June 2008

We’re all guilty of overindulging sometimes—an extra helping of potatoes here, a wedge of key lime pie there. But loading up on calories forces your body into overdrive as it tries to deconstruct the damage. “Just metabolizing food—especially fatty and carbohydrate-rich fare—causes the body to produce free radicals, which attack cells and can promote the development of chronic conditions including heart disease, diabetes and cancer,” says Ronald L. Prior, Ph.D., research chemist and nutritionist with the USDA at Arkansas Children’s Nutrition Center. The more you consume, the more free radicals you produce. In fact, that’s one theory why caloric restriction—a practice of cutting calories by 25 to 30 percent—may protect against some disease. But recent research suggests that there are two ways to reduce free radicals: eating fewer calories and consuming more nutrient-rich fare, such as the following. (We suggest you do both.)

1. Drink Wine.

Antioxidants in red wine, called polyphenols, may reduce the negative impact of high-fat foods, according to a study published in the Journal of the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology in January. In the study, people who ate a turkey cutlet cooked with wine had 75 percent lower levels of malondialdehyde (MDA)—a by-product of fat digestion linked with heart disease—than those who had the cutlet without wine. Other research shows that a compound called resveratrol in red wine mimics the effects of caloric restriction and improves health in mice. Cook with red wine or enjoy a glass with dinner. (But remember, moderation is key!)

2. Drizzle Vinegar.

Having a tablespoon of vinegar with your meal, perhaps drizzled on your salad, may temper the spike in blood sugar (a.k.a. glucose) that occurs after eating a big, carbohydrate-rich meal. This sugar surge is a problem particularly for people with diabetes, who can’t clear glucose effectively; over time, excess glucose in the blood damages tissues. (For the rest of us, a steep rise in glucose triggers an equally rapid drop—which stokes appetite.) But in a 2005 study published in the Journal of the American Dietetic Association, consuming about 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar along with a bagel and fruit juice slashed the postmeal rise in glucose in half. It also resulted in subjects eating 200 to 275 fewer calories through the day. “The acid in vinegar may inhibit the digestion of the starch, so the starch is rendered into something like fiber, which can’t be digested well,” says Carol Johnston, Ph.D., R.D., professor and chair of the department of nutrition at Arizona State University. Drizzle a tablespoon of vinegar on your salad.

3. Eat Fruit.

If you’ve indulged in a decadent meal, consider fruit for dessert. In the Journal of the American College of Nutrition last April, Prior and his colleagues showed that eating antioxidant-rich fruits—including berries, grapes, kiwi and cherries—helps minimize the free-radical damage that occurs after a meal. Eating caloric meals, without antioxidant-rich foods like fruits and vegetables, can have harmful effects over time, says Prior. Finish your meal with a generous portion of fruit.

merci mon coeur for the bit of information about the three said things above. And now that i get all my questions answered regarding these stuffs and their health benefits so im going to continue with the healthy food regime :)

healthy and wise! Clarity!

Sunday, 25th May 2008 - IKEA Day!

Today is IKEA day as i have been wanting to go to IKEA for the longest of time and that sunday was nominated IKEA Day by me :)

This will be my 2nd time going to IKEA and that was back in January i think it was and we only went there for a short while and just scan through things with my aunt and cousin; Now my second visit to IKEA is with mon coeur and we have a mission and thats to fix our "study/working room" and also the "laundry room" We decidedto go to IKEA for the furnishings because we have limited space at the condo and our furniture should all be egromaticly fiting to size of teh room, ands in this case IKEA makes splendid furniture to fit for all this tiny space :)
so the serch begins...

After going around for a long while inspecting this and that i ended up buying two cute things as i put it for the kitchen WHICH i didnt intend to buy at first but i seemed to have some idea what to use them for :)

here are teh items i bought :)

three cute and tiny tins for placing cookies and herbs and beans cost about RM14.90

tiny glass jars :) RM 9.90

here are the things already filled up! The tins are filled up with cookies, dried herbs & spices then the final tiny one i placed my green beans in there for my once in a while craving for bubur cha cha hehehe :) and of course the small tiny jar glasses i put all my curry powders the whole lot of it .

Then before proceeding to the stock counter we stop by to have lunch first which was delish! the poached salmon wt potatoes but extremely yummiest...maybe coz i was really hungry at that time so everything seemed to tasted yummy heheheh but mon coeur is having the same food as i and he said its yummy too; BUT however i cant say the same to the curry puff though..i dunno something seemed to be missing....i just didnt like it as much the pastry was fine just the "inti" i kinda find something wrong somewhere so to me its yucky!

Here is when we finally got our last bit of furniture before heading out to pay for it :) mon coeur was looking at the descriptions and all and was telling me this is how it was done heheheh :)

All in all i like IKEA very much its a nice place to go and have a look at furnitures that is remarkbly done very well and within the budget too. and not forgetting the food is delicious as well would definately go and eat there again if we happen to be in the neighbourhood !

Until next time, over and out!

Saturday, 24th May 2008 - Anything and everything under the sun and the moon :)

I love it when it's saturday coz it means no work and looking forward to spend quality time doing anything to everything with mon coeur and just enjoying the weekend together. I guess these are the times to cherish the time we can spend time out with each other and just be merry doing things we like doing and not wait until its too late to do them. Looks like we have a lot of travelling to do during the coming months and weeks be it domestically or internationally so we are very much looking forward to this "escapades" as we both call it and since this is our first time travelling with each other i guess theres plenty of things to look forward to :)

And so these saturday is no different from any other weekends we had so far just that we get to expereince different things , and going to different places and taste different food and all the good stuffs indeed ;)

For breakfast, mon coeur was the one who was fixing it and this is what he fixed for me :)

cute ain't it :)

This particular mug is very special to both of us coz this was my first present to mon coeur and now i have to get the other colour which is the opposite colour to this one so that we both can have it the same kind.

Yes we went to sungai buloh again but since it was raining , i cant take any pics :(
But after that we went straight to Bangsar to get our weekly supplies of groceries and fruits and vegies at the Pasar Malam Bangsar.

Right after finishing with the groceries shopping we went back home and prepare to go to our dinner date with Opus :)

Here is Opus! Mon coure was raving about the food and wine over @ Opus and he said he would take me there and was supposed to go there last week but unfortunately, to go to this place you need to make reservation as this place is always full.

Opus is situated not too far away from Bangsar as its still in Bangsar just different area. And situated at the same row of shop is where "Cava" is and also going to be our next dinner date :)

Mon coeur and his ermm.....comme ci, comme ça wine hehehe :)

and here is moi and my OK wine :)

this is my food and i think its called grilled sea bass with asparagus in white wine
which was delish! i cant explain how much i adore this food! The taste is just so out of this world. I told mon coeur that i need to get me some wine for me to experiment with some recipe that needs wine in it, so definately, cooking wine will be in my groceries next week ;)

Mon coeur had these chicken in white creame sauce with spaghetti! Also very tasty and yummy :) Bien sûr!

As for desert, Mon coeur had his eyes on the tiramisu cake on the menu and thats exactly what he got tiramisu in a glass :)

As for moi, i went to look at the cake display for dessert and fell inlove with this banana hot in a choc fudge! gosh its the yummiest dessert ever! But only thing is its way toooo big of a portion for me! the size was really humungous! But anyhow..it was delish! I was all chocked out for this baby! hahaha

Our wonderful evening ended with a smile on both our lips for it was a delightful evening and food was manifique and kudos to Opus for a wonderful place to dine although they can improve much much more on their wine selection :)

A bientôt!
