on another note....

 Finally last friday, Dh brough with him a package he got from work and he said ah i'm sure this is what you have been waiting for...and i just knew what it was :))

The package!

My favourite goodies  were in it packed especially for me and DH by our dear friend Philippe in France!!These Barres of sweetness is just delicious and you can make them into anything and as for me i put them in my Tiramisu and also yougurt just to have flavour in them coz these sweets are actually highly concentrated fruits and they are 100% natural fruits, bio and more so they are sugar free! They are very good treats for kiddies too :)

Oh! thank thank you thank you philippe for getting this package to us! 

merci beaucoup and we sure to treat you when we are back in France this december :)

 just to show you the quantity is and its a lot!! about 30 all of them i think it was with all our favourite flavour such as Framboise, peach and Fraise (strawberries)

DAY 81 - "Passage Pommeraye, coeur de Nantes"

I'm still talking about Nantes as i have loads of pictures regarding Nantes and since i have choosen March as the month of Nantes so here is another glimpse of the "Passage Pommeraye" in the heart of Nantes and one of the oldest shopping places here.


When you do visit Nantes dont forget to pay a visit to this mall :)

DAY 64 - Remembering Spring in Beauvoir 2009

I'm remembering my Spring in Beauvoir because after such a cold winter it's just so wonderful to watch all these flowers started to spring up from their sleep and bloom! I fell inlove with all of them. Back in Malaysia, there is only two season hot and cold and so the vegetation and surroundings are constantly green and more greens. But in parts of the world where they they hve 4 season its incredible how the terrain, vegetation and surroundings just change every 3 months. Sometimes it's a bit too much changing and the people living in 4 season countries envied the ones living in sun sunny countries, but on the other hand people in the sun sunny countries sometimes complained thats its not much changes happening warm will always be warm rainy will always be rainy and its time for them to envy the people living in countries which have four seasons.

As for me, im going to take full advanatage of remembering all the seasons in the world with my photographs and so i can never forget how the smell of first spring, how the warm breeze of summer, the musky smells of pine during during autumn and wonderful moments spent at the fire place, the sunny breeze back in KK, the sweaty walks in town at the suday market, the thunder raging sound of the moonsoon rain etc.
All this make up of life in planet earth!

DAY 60 - It's March!!

Goodness me, i think this year is going turbo fast and now it's already the third month of the year and there is only 9 months left of 2010!

Ok what else..ah yes , i have a new header for the month an dthis picture brings me back to a garden closeby to Gare du Nantes and it was early August when i took this picture and it was just about the end of summer time :) Will try to include more pics of Nantes during this month of my bloging coz i have lots of it :)

DAY 33 - La Chandeleur = crêpe day in France

FEBRUARY 2 is the Catholic holiday of Candlemas, a feast to commemorate the purification of the Virgin Mary and the presentation of the baby Jesus forty days after his birth.

For many French people La Chandeleur is a chance to enjoy a lot of crêpes, as well as do some fortune telling while making them. If you know how to do both that is IF not just enjoy the crêpe :)

I had this crêpe last year with christine when we visited Angers and decided to have crêpe for dinner this one is what i had i think it was curry chicken with crêpe...yummilicious indeed:)

I remembered 2 years ago we had a ball having crêpe day with our guests From France, Phillipe and my sister Melissa and mal. I remember i was so impressed when Phillipe did crêpe flambées au Grand Marnier.

L'humeur pour du fromage...(Mood for cheese)

When it comes to eating cheese, i must say i am a new addict :) Growing up in KK the only place that i knew that sells the imported kind is in Tong Hing Supermarket and usually it cost a bomb! Hence it's not so famous in our household. But every now and then we get to taste some during dinners or functions at a hotel buffet, but that's about it. And as for the names of the cheeses bah! couldn't care less what it taste like so knowing it's name is simply out f the question! One other thing....the smell! Yes this thing does smell badly and uhhh... can't imagine how it's going to taste like going inside my mouth is another thing!

But That was then, and now....i simply loveeeeeeeeeeeee cheese :) Married to a french, made me have more courage to try out bit by bit. My husband sudgested i try "Babybel", which is usually for kids in france as they first learn or introduced to the world of cheese or du fromage in french. So i tried it and gradually i move on up a level and now i can't seemed to let it go now :) My favourite is "Comte" and also "camembert" And now after every meal a good portion of fromage is a must for me now hehehe :)

Like the french says, a good plate of fromage and a glass of wine is all they need for a wonderful meal!

Here is a collection of cheese boite or boxes or plastic wraps that i've collected especially for this blog post and now..i can get rid of them heheheh :)

well, enjoy them cheese :)









oh and there is another thing that i go gaga about too and it is called...
"Petit LU"

it's 100% beurre/ butter that is why it's yummylicious :)
