DAY 34 - Crêpe Day :)

Just as i said i would do yesterday, here are some of the pictures taken from the Crêpe Day that we celebrated last night with our awesome host Sebastien and Elo.

It was indeed a marvelous evening with yummylicous Crêpe and some drinks :)

These are pictures of me and Elo just before we got busy with making them Crêpe :)

Here are the guys in their big napkins hangging over their necks ready for some Crêpe action! :))

Not only do the French eat a lot of crêpes on Chandeleur, but they also do a bit of fortune telling while making them. It is traditional to hold a coin in your writing hand and a crêpe pan in the other, and flip the crêpe into the air. If you manage to catch the crêpe in the pan, your family will be prosperous for the rest of the yea
r
Elo and her perfect flip, i guess i know who is going to be prosperous this year :)

And finally a group photo of very happy and content people :)
Thank You very much to our wonderful and lovely host, Sebastien and Elo for hosting a wonderful La Chandeleur - Crêpe Day!

Looking forward to African and CNY celebration with you guys soon :)

You all look like you are having a great time, and you really got the flame going on the crepes. Maybe a little too much alcohol . HIC!
I looked crepes up in the dictionary it does say very thin pancakes.

Yes it's definately too much alcohol BUT thats how the French like it..for me i settle just for the normal bacon and eggs crepe :) Yes the French crepe is a thinner version of the pancakes and thats because when it's thinner it's easier to fold it :)
