DAY 11 - Surprise Morning skype call from Mom & Dinan :)

I had a wonderful 1 hour and a half chat with mom and my tiny nephew Ferdinand. It's wonderful this invention with skype where people from all over the world seems to be just a heartbeat away... I'm so happy that i can keep in contact with everyone back in Sabah and in France. Nothing can describe the feeling of talking to someone dear to us, friends and family and seeing them right on our screen. It's not the real thing but it's the next best thing to being there in person and this is one of the gretest invention ever for me.

Imagine, i can have our daily 5.00 oclock coffee break with my parents inlaw back in Kg. Beauvoir and sipping our cuppa together , talking like we always do with the only thing different is that i'm in Angola and they are back in France. Amazing indeed!

Since i have set up the same system back in my other Kg in Sabah, my mom is calling me everyday and it's like i have never left kk at all hehehe..this is the greatest feeling for me to be elsewhere but yet feeling that i'm talking to my mom back home in KK and seeing each other on our laptop's monitor is another plus! I can see my nephew Ferdinand walk LIVE for the first time for when i left KK last Dec he was not walking YET and now he runs and walk like speedy Gonzales so cuteee and talking to me stimultaneously is just incredible.

last year's christmas of 2009 was more special then any other christmas i had coz i'm able to be part of the christmas party in Kg beauvoir in France and in KK just because we have skype on and both family is able to exchange greetings and wishes and experiencing different chirstmas culture celebration in each place. Was so wonderful to be able to see and wish my family happy birthday and merry christmas Live on skype was just out of this world kinda feeling.

I leave you guys with this photo i took from my laptop while chating on skype witm my mom & Ferdinand

Hello once again :)

After a long silence from me i finally found some tiny bits of moments to spare and blog about some in here but not much as i havent yet prepared some of the pics but soon it will be up and about on my blog :)

Once again its been like a roller coaster for me and my family here in France and also back in Sabah for we hosted our ceremonial and religious wedding ceremony back in Kota kinabalu and the whole family in France flew accross the world to be in Kota kinabalu to witness the wedding and so i have one big happy family all in one roof :) It's not an easy task but like mon coeur always say..it's manageable which is true and we did it :)

The second leg of the roller coaster ride is organising the trips by which the whole family travelled together and enjoy our holiday and stay in Kota Kinabalu for as much as we can and make wonderful memories together.

As you can see there is so much to blog about and thousands of pictures to share but definately we cant do it all in one go so hopefully in time i will managed to cover all of the trips and event happening in my life and hopefully i will be resting from travelling for a while but looks like Africa is in the horizon for our next stop, so this means i have to hurry up and play catch up with my blogging then before i start blogging about my next destination.

Anyhow, to everyone thanks for the visit to my blog , eventhough i havent had much changed since the last post but i'm determine to do something about it an do some serious blogging here hehehehe :)

ah well, take care everyone and have a wonderful day, week and months ahead :)

Love always,

hello to everyone :)

Yes, indeed i have been away from my blog for such a long time and finally i find a small tiny moment to squeeze some moment out of my busy schedules to write something about what been going on since April till now. This year I'm truly happy for i had the opportunity to return back to my home town more then twice this year thanks to mon cœur who believes that i'm a world traveller and can do just about anything independently. Even as i'm typing this i can still make out his exact words telling me to go and try do it on my own "you can manage now" hehehe such confidence in me is my mon cœur is always giving me that extra smile and that extra courage for me to do anyhing that i have never done before. Thank you so much mon cœur for believing in me and for giving me all the support i needed to make the move. Merci beaucoup mon cœur.

April 2009
Spent half of it enjoying the blossoming of Spring in France which was my first time and it was such a wonderful contrast to the ever so Grey and gloomy winter i get to experience in France also. But my best highlight of Winter time in France are the family gatherings and also the cracking of logs in the chimney with the fire on...its just a wonderful feeling indeed.

The other half of April is spent in Kota Kinabalu visiting family and friends and most important of all my visit to the French Embassy in Kuala Lumpur. After a full 4 weeeks in Kota kinabalu and after numerous gatherings and reunions with all my ex-classmates from highschoolnd college its time for quality time with the family and particular the newest member in our family which is Baby Ferdinand. Spend a great time with him and my mom. Besides that done a bit of follow up to the wedding plans and Borneo trip as well wt Mewot. A lot of work indeed and between all this, i remember missing moncoeur at the same time and a lot, a lot and a lot :)

May 2009

I spent glorious time traveling in the first week of May and went to visit my niece Elisa and Jerome in La Rochelle and had wonderful time there as its my first time going around in France without moncoeur and i feel very recharged and in charged hehehe Thanks to Elisa and Jerome who took a great deal of their time showing me around La Rochelle and how i fell inlove with the city. Its just beautiful, and a great Port to be reckon for and its rich with history and beauty. Thank you both for a lovely time there with you guys and i can never forget "cagouillle" the french snail or escargot i learn from Elisa and Jerome and also for a wonderful time at FUN 3 and also at Chez Lulu. All this i will always remember and chrish and and and....I'm so happy to say i came to La Rochelle 1st before mon cœur hehehe so its a great victory for me :)

2nd part of May i get to spend just relaxing in Beauvoir with my beloved mon cœur as he was in town for a three weeks break. Lovey-Dovey time indeed :) spent vacationing here and there in France and discovering new places that both of us have not been. It was really a great vacation indeed :)

June 2009

The month of June was really a rocking month for me for i have a lot of things done during the first three weeks of this month. It took me to the East , North and centre of France and not forgetting Paris. Other then that also had our train adventure across europe from Paris to Brussels, Belgium, Rotterdam and finally to Amsterdam all with my sister Mewot who came to visit me and have a month long vacation with me in France and to explore Europe together.

Its one of the things i did in my life that i can never forget. Its ot everyday we can do this kind of thing where we just up and go to a place and what more with one very own sibling. This is the first time that i ever spent such a long time with my sister and its worth it because it strenghten our friendship, sisterhood and love with each other and here is where i get to look after my kid sister and it was a pleasure indeed and the feelings and experience spent with her is priceless. to my sister love you and hope we can do this again in the future and hopefully this time with our respective husbands with us hehehe :)

and not forgetting also our wonderful gathering for the sabahan and malaysian abroad in Rotterdam finds us both meeting with new people and making new friends and thanks to Jenn and hubby and all the malaysian friends at the gathering for making us feel very welcome and connected with our native roots again. It just proves one thing we can be anywhere in the world eating different food and different environment but deep in our heart we are still very much a sabahan and thats just priceless. and not forgetting also to thank Jenn and hubby for hosting the best european arraimaiti in Rotterdam thank you guys nce again :)

2nd part of June is spent back home in KK and it was home sweet home indeed tis part of the month sees me very busy with preparation for my Big Day in July and its becoming hectic now and this also marks my dissapearence again to write in my blog too until everything is back to normal again and perhaps the next time i get to blog again i would probably be blogging from another different country all together.

Anyhow...Lets just wait for july to arrive and see what it has instore for dear me. Until then to all my dear friends on here take care and have fun in the summer for some and safe journey to all and to all my family, relatives and friends wherever you are, Je t'aime!

Saturday - wangsa maju + lunch + bukit bintang +bangsar = Wonderful Day!

I must say i had the most wonderful and most eventful saturday of my life going from one place to another one whole day non stop. It seemed like every minute is spent doing everything but nothing this saturday and both of us enjoyed the moments to the fullest.

First mission for the day was to go to PUSPAKOM @ Wangsa Maju to where mon coeur's scooter needs to be checked and obtained some documentation to be used for licence plate application @ JPJ at a later stage. So....that means that we will have to ride on the scooter to where we need to go and since i have never in my life riden on a motocycle before so this is a great opportunity for me and i must say it was an exhilirating experience being on one. you feel free and more aware of your surroundings BUT @ the same time i was done near had a heart attack when mon coeur went zig-zagging inbeetween cars in the jam! my goodness i was holding on to his shoulders so tight that by the end of the journey he told me... we should do this a lot more he said because according to him he get's free shoulder massage when i squeeze his shoulders when im nervous on the scooter...heheheh BUT after a while it was ok :) we wrapped things up at PUSPAKOM at about 1:30pm that afternoon... not too bad after all ;) so here are the pics that i can manage to grab when i was riding on the scooter :)

contributing factors making me stay away from posting on my blog :-

1. I have a shitty Desktop computer that works like a snail and wont upload pictures more then 200kb (hahaha) ya im laughing right now! :O(

2. been trying to pack..since i have very limited time to do my packing and moving so been otherwise occupied doing that. 3. In the midst of me being so occupied doing chores+packing i managed to slip in a few TV viewing which is a shoking bit for me as i've abandoned watching TV programmes as well as reading the news paper coz its too depressing. So this little2 time spare i tried watching AStro and i find that I LOVE the AFC channel = Asian Food Channel on channel #703 on Astro. 5. Oh for brunnete beauty...before i terforget...well thru bad times and good times althought its more bad times then good times i still look at the good part of things so i hope we stay in contact and just be skypey buddies for always..lah kunun !! but like i said "This is it!" so hopefully that will be "IT" kan kan kan Morientez and ms danne....hahahahhaahhah!! I wanna be healthy :)

Going Vegetarian are we?

I have been toying with the idea of being a vegetarian for years now as I’ve become increasingly avoiding the desire to eat meat, particularly red meat. Besides its easier to choose to not eat meat coz actually we only eat meat when we are outside of our own home as mom dont cook meat and whatever meat dishes we do have we usually get them at restaurants or stalls where it is “already prepared food” Its almost a rare occasion for us to have beef at home so I guess I wont miss it in the long run. But fish and poultry is still the main food intake at home so I guess I just have to go on a semi- vegetarian Diet for now :)

“Properly planned vegetarian diets have been found to satisfy the nutritional needs for all stages of life, and large-scale studies have shown vegetarianism to increase longevity, improve health, and significantly lower risks of cancer and other diseases”

That's the base of why I'm going towards being a semi-vegetarian dieter. I found this terms at wikipedia explaining semi-vegetarian state.

Semi-vegetarian diets
Semi-vegetarian diets are diets that primarily consist of vegetarian foods, but make exceptions for some non-vegetarian foods. These diets may be followed by those who choose to reduce the amount of animal flesh consumed, or sometimes as a way of transitioning to a vegetarian diet. Semi -Vegetarianism— a diet in which the only animal flesh consumed is seafood and/or poultry , in limited amounts.

Large-scale studies have shown vegetarianism to increase longevity, improve health, and significantly lower risks of cancer and other fatal diseases. Necessary nutrients, proteins, and amino acids for the body's sustenance can be found in green leafy vegetables, grains, nuts, and fortified juices or soymilk.

Vegetarian diets can aid in keeping body weight under control and substantially reduce risks of heart disease. Non-lean red meat, in particular, has been found to be a direct cause of cancers of the lung, esophagus, liver, and colon, among others. (So plenty more reason to avoid them red meaty stuffs)

I love my vegetables, I love my fruits, I love my soya bean drinks and anything that has to do with soya beans , and I like my fish very much and maybe some tiny bits of lean chicken bits and most of all I love my nuts (have been fan of eating nuts since I was a kid ) so I think the best way for me to live life healthily is to follow through this type of dietry and I do think its suitable for me and a big thank you to my mom for being a wonderful supporter of my prefference to eat what is good for me and supported me all this while with my choices in terms of getting the best healthy diet for me. For years now, after the big scare I had in early 2001, my mom has been the core person to get me well and healthy for I have introduced to her a place in Centre Point where they sell this “vegetarian Food” which is superbly yummiest and we both have been eating there every now and then and whenever she bought “Tapau” for me she would know where to get me food ....thats a sure thing!
So to my mom ....Thank you so much for the support and continued support and I hope we will always stay healthy always.

Healthy, happy and wise :)

THE LOVERS LEAP

I read a very interesting article on the Sunday Paper that i decided to Blog about it....trust me, its definetely an interesting article...i was reading it and was hooked on it! So...to all the singles and not so single peeps out there...Read on ;) It's kinda like a summary to the real article...but also reading between the lines theres another story there. So here it is....THE LOVERS LEAP :)

"FALLING IN LOVE"?

Throw yourself into intimacy. Go ahead; take a leap on love :)

Perhaps that's why most of us, at least some of the time or most of the time, are frightened by another deeply primal experience which is:
INTIMACY
. Allowing yourself to become emotionally close in the psyhological equivalent of skidding off a cliff, hence the expression "falling in love". This gauzzy phrase usually describes a sexual connection. But LOVE
has variations that can swallow the floor under your feet at any moment. You're securely installed in a relationship, marching through life. Then
BOOM!
You hear a song and you know that the composer has seen into your soul. Or you wake up, bleary with jet lag, in a city you've never seen before and feels like you've come home.

Me : * oh gosh....i was afraid of what i was reading and consuming and fathoming really...coz it made me tipsy...of what im experiencing......just grasping to whats happening...in relation to that....im actually loving every minute of this BOOM! thingy :) NEXT!!....

Suddenly, - Too late - you realise that your heart has opened like a trapdoor, and you are tumbling into deep, sweet abyss. This sensation you are feeling is probably associated with decreased activity in the brain region that senses our bodies location in the physical world. When this zone goes quiet, the boundary between "self" and "not self" dissapears. It isnt just that we feel close to our object of affection; perceiving ourselves as seperate isnt an option. It is now that "someone" matters to us as much as we maters to ourselves. Yet we have no control over either the love or the beloved.

Me : * Yes...just like the Olivia Newton John'n song suddenly...everything seemed to be topsy turvy and upside down and finding out how things does matters and definately "self" right now is taking a leave and become "not self" for a moment until that "someone" matters to us as much as we maters to ourselves becomes the beloved.

"WHAT SHOULD YOU DO AFTER FALLING IN?"

We focus attention on stories about people, from Othello and Huckleberry Finn to the lusty physicians on Grey's Anatomy, who trip into versions of intimacy (passion, friendship, parental protectiveness) they can neither escape nor manage. These stories each teach us why our ways of dealing with it are usually misguided. Two of these methods are so common, they're worth a warning here.

Me: *Oh...times like these...what would the warnings be and would it be making any huge impact? We shall see...ok get on with the Bad Ideas in love!

BAD IDEA #1 - GUARD YOUR HEART

There's an old folktale about a giant who removes his own heart, locks it in a series of metal boxes and buries the whole conglomeration. Thereafter, his enemies can stab or shoot him, but never fatally. Of course, he also loses the benefits of having a heart such as "happiness". The giant sits around grimly trying to enjoy the play, until he's so miserable one day he went on to dig up his heart and stabs it himself. This grisly parable reminds us that refusing to love is emotional suicide. Yet many of us fight like the giant to guard ourselves from intimacy, boxing up our hearts in steel-hard false beliefs.

"I'm unlovable" is such lockbox. "Everyone wants to exploit me" is another example. Then there's "I shouldn't feel that" and "I have to follow the rules", etc. Whatever your own heart-cofins may be, notice that they're ruining your happiness, not preserving it. As poet Mary Oliver puts it, "Listen, are you breathing, just a little, and calling it a life....For how long will you continue to listen to to those dark shouters, caution and prudence? Fall in! Fall in!

If you've buried your heart to keep it from hurting, actually it's hurting more from hurting.

Me: *oklah...maybe it was not burried just kept aside maybe? But I think its in the open now breathing hard and smelling them flowers out there so not so like Davey Jones from the pirates of the carribeans...MY heart is in tip top working condition and its enjoying outdoor life now :)

BAD IDEA #2 - CONTROL YOUR BELOVED

"If you don't love me, I'll kill myself. If you stop loving me, I'll kill you"
Some people believe such sentence or statements are expressions of true itimacy or love, when actually they're weapons of control. This destroys real connection faster than restraining order. Though few of us are this radically controlling, we are often use myriad forms of manipulation and coercion. To the extent that we try to make anyone do, feel, or think anything – whether our weapon is people-pleasing, sarcasm, or a machete – we trade intimacy for micro-terrorism. So, if neither control nor avoidance works, what does?

Me : *Reminded me of an old memory, well not so old actually which still haunts me every now and then for the fact that this "controlling" situation got out of hand and lead to a disclosure of the relationship. It is very disturbning with this kind of controlling but because each of us are an individual and always will be an individual. Even when we are married or living together or just together it doesnt mean that we have to lose our individuality because that's what made us fall for each other in the first place. So why change that and mold the other significant one to be someone else that's going to make him/her unhappy? So this is what I went through and I'm so very glad that it's over and I've moved on and much wiser in terms of knowing whats best for me now and happier too . In fact....now, I made it the first criteria for any relationship I'm having and that's the person have to respect me as an individual and never try to change me and just take me as I am. To me this is very important so it's a must for me.

GOOD IDEA #1 - BE WILLING

In the "Ultimate Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" Douglas Adams reveals the secret of flying. Just launch yourself towards the ground, and miss. "All it requires is simply the ability to throw yourself forward with all your weight, and willingness not to mind that it's going to hurt...If you fail to miss the ground. Most people do fail to miss the ground, and if they are really trying peoperly, the likelihood is that they will fail to miss it fairly hard."

Avoidance and control can't keep our hearts from falling, or cushion the landing. Why not throwing yourself forward being willing not to mind that it's goin gto hurt? Please note: "being willing not to mind" isn't the same as genuinely not minding. You'll mind the risk of intimacy – count on it. Be willing anyway. How? Simply allow your feelings – all of them – into full conciousness. Articulate your emotions. Write about them in a journal, tell them to a friend, and confess them to your therapist. Feel the full extent of your love, your thirst, your passion, without holding back or grasping at anything or anyone (especially the object of your effection)

Me: *I think this really is a good idea indeed. Free falling to whatever comes what may is a feeling that's just out of this world and I can only imagine that it's going to be thrilling and devastatingly awesome... da di da di da ;)

GOOD IDEA#2 - GO "WOO-HOO"

When fear hits, when you want to grasp or hide, shout "woo-hoo!" instead. While there is never – not ever – a sure foundation beneath our feet, the willingness to celebrate what we really feel can turn falling into flying. [You don't need an airplane to practise woo-hoo skills]

Me: * Well...i guess I'm woo-hooi-ing myself right now to oblivion...hahaha...its a scarry feeling but wonderful at the same time...just like the feeling of zero-gravity ... the same feelings those beautiful clouds I saw on the plane was having I think and they are in cloud time every day of their life! How cool is that heheheh...so I guess the greatest love feeling champions of all are the clouds coz they are always on cloud 9 :)

"IN PREPARATION FOR LANDING"

Nevertheless, what people really panicking about nowadays isn't the falling actually, it's the landing. Yet, realise that there are only two possible landings for someone who embraces intimacy, and both are beautiful. The first possibility is that your beloved will love you back. Then you won't land; you just fall deeper into intimacy together. This is how bald eagles prepare to mate – by locking talons and free-falling like rocks – which is deeply insane. The other possibility is that you'll throw yourself forward and yell "Woo-Hoo!!", and smashed into rejection. Will it hurt? Indescribably YES! It'll hurt.

But if you still refuse to burry your broken heart, or force "someone" to "fix" it – if you just experience the crash landing in all its gory glory, you'll probably ended up creating a miracle :)

Me: * I know this part too well and its hard not to think back and not wanting to give it up but usually the crash landing is what got us through a lot of obstacles in life and made us more aware of what we want in life and in love. But no doubt crash landing has the opposite effects too but it's a miracle on its own when we believe we can survive another crash landing. So I did survive a few crash landings but to burry my heart like the Giant did is not my way to put out the pain. The pain felt is just to maximise the love feeling when we do feel loved and be in love when we finally found the object of our effection and that's when eagles soars and "we can move mountains" statements is suddenly very famous...hehehe..But its true...coz I know the feeling :) trust me...you will want to move mountains hahahaha

If you fall into intimacy without resistance, despite your alarm, either you will fall into love, which is exquisite, or love will fall into you which is more exquisite still. Do it enough and you may just lose your fear of falling. You'll get better at missing the ground, at keeping a crushed heart open so that love can find all the broken pieces. And the next time you feel that vertiginous sensation of the floor disapearing, even as your reflexes tells you to duck and grab, you'll hear and even deeper insticnt saying, "Fall in! Fall in!"

Me: * hmnn...With all the warning and alarms and all I still fall...so in other words...i'm in love! :) Happy falling everyone! And last but not the least Bonne chance!!

In love!
